The WINDFORCE 2X cooling system features 2 unique 35mm blade fans, reciprocating rotating fan, 3 composite copper heat pipes, heated pipe direct touch, and 3D active fan functionality, along with effective heat dissipation capability for higher performance at lower temperatures.
The GIGABYTE ‘Alternate Spinning’ is the solution that can solve turbulent airflow from adjacent fans. Since adjacent fans rotate in the same direction, the airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce the heat dissipation efficiency. GIGABYTE rotates adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing turbulence and improving airflow pressure.
The airflow is spilled by the triangular edge of the fan and gently guided through the curve of 3D stripes on the surface of the fan, effectively improving the airflow.
The 3D active fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low-load or low-power game. It allows players to enjoy the game in complete silence when the system is running on light or idle.
The shape of the pure copper heat pipes maximizes the direct contact area with the GPU, improving heat transfer. The heat pipes also cover the VRAM through a large metal plate to ensure proper cooling.
The composite heated tube combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage heat transfer between two solid interfaces, increasing cooling capacity.
