The Amazing Spider-Man Collection / is a collection of 2 games (2012-2014) and is a link to the movie of the same name. The story is a direct continuation of the film and is about an experiment gone wrong: Oscorp investigates an interspecies mutation virus; the same thing that made Lizard appear. This virus reaches Manhattan and Spider-Man has to help infected humans and find a cure.

This version returns to the open world concept that was abandoned in the few previous installments. Spider-Man moves through Manhattan, though shooting on the web is done automatically at the push of a button, on the way to the next plot point.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in an open world version of Manhattan similar to previous games in the franchise. He can swing freely around the city using a web swing mechanic. Balancing has been tightened in the sense that it is no longer possible to always rotate anywhere if nothing is present to attach it, although there are exceptions.
